Aave introduced a new proposal to revamp the Aave (AAVE) protocol’s tokenomics, revenue distribution, and liquidity management.
It’ll revise AAVE tokenomics, redistribute protocol excess revenue, deprecate the legacy LEND token, and launch Anti-GHO to enhance incentives for GHO stablecoin holders.

- Introduce a new body: Aave Finance Committee (AFC) – Oversees treasury operations and runs a $1M/week AAVE buyback for six months.
- Changes to Aave Staking – No more slashing risks for StkBPT, but rewards will gradually decrease, shifting toward liquidity incentives.
- LEND to AAVE Migration Ends – 320,000 AAVE (~$65M) redirected to the ecosystem reserve, completing a five-year transition.
- Introduction of Anti-GHO (New Discount Mechanism) – A non-transferable token replacing existing discounts; can be burned to offset GHO borrowing costs or converted to StkGHO for later redemption.
- New Umbrella Mechanism – Protects users from bad debt and strengthens liquidity across chains, initially covering wETH, USDC, USDT, and GHO.
ETH Pectra upgrade was activated Sepolia testnet today, final stage before mainnet rollout. Pectra will introduce EIP-7702 improves crypto wallet experience and account abstraction, EIP-7251 raises validator stake limits from 32 to 2,048 ETH, and EIP-7691 increases the maximum blob count for better rollup scalability
