Sad day for DeFi, Balancer v2 was exploited for $128M. The hacker exploited a faulty access control vulnerability within Balancer’s boosted pools that use Eth derivatives: 6,587 WETH ($24.5M), 6,851 osETH ($26.9M), and 4,260 wstETH ($19.3M) across Arbitrum, Base, Sonic, OP Mainnet, and Polygon
On Saturday, Vitalik endorsed zksync, quote tweeting them twice, praising their “underrated and valuable work” on the Atlas upgrade and endorsing their post calling “incorruptibility” Ethereum’s most important property, causing zk token to surge 50% from $0.03 to $0.046.
The Atlas upgrade introduces a high performance sequencer supporting up to 30k TPS with full Ethereum compatibility, includes Airbender for quick confirmations and fast cross chain settlement, transforming ETH into a unified liquidity hub where L2s can access mainnet liquidity directly
